ALASKA RIVER COMPANY

We had a great trip rafting down the Kenai River.  It sprinkled a little so we put on raingear, but it turned out to be a beautiful day!

This is Gabe our guide.  He was fun and we enjoyed learning about the area as we floated down the river!

We floated under the bridge and past the Russian River.
What a relaxing and enjoyable day!

MAJOR MARINE TOURS

Seward Wildlife Cruise in Resurrection Bay
and into the Gulf of Alaska

Our boat was "Star of the Northwest".
Here's the crew from Diamond M Ranch Resort!  Marty, the llama went along for the ride!

We will boat down a waterway called a fjord.
A fjord is a glacial valley that has been filled by sea water.

Steller Sea Lions sharing the space with the birds!

Below, notice the baby goat behind the momma!

Bear Glacier is above, with an island of trees in front of it.
We saw more beautiful mountains as we cruised in Resurrection Bay!

How grateful we are for all of the tours and experiences!!

ALASKA NATIVE HERITAGE CENTER

This was one of our stops as we came through Anchorage.   It was fantastic and we learned so very much about the native Alaskans! Here are two of our guides.

The white outline on this native dress is made of  buttons.

The Heritage Center showed the diversity of five different native cultures in the way they lived in different areas of Alaska.

ALASKA RAILROAD

Coastal Classic Train - Anchorage to Seward

Station at the
Alaska Railroad
Arrived in Seward
11 am
Departed  6 pm

WE HAD A FUN FILLED DAY!
The Railroad staff were fun and full of information along the way! We saw a momma moose and two very young calves on our train ride.  I just wasn't fast enough with the camera.  It was great to step outside for a few pictures.

Our friends and fellow Workampers, Rich and Deb.  We are getting acquainted and having a great dinner on the train!  The food was fantastic and everyone in the dining car was so friendly!

We had a terrific time in Seward enjoying the shopping and spending time at the Sea Life Center!
